ANECA en Reforma - Con Wenceslao Arroyo
En esta serie especial de tres episodios, exploramos en profundidad el intrincado mundo de las acreditaciones en el sistema académico español, centrado en la polémica ANECA. Para ello, contamos con la participación de dos colaboradores habituales del programa: Celia Arroyo López, investigadora en Biología Evolutiva y Biodiversidad, y Alejandro Pedregal Villodres, Research Fellow en la Universidad de Aalto.
En el primer episodio, analizamos la reciente reforma de la ANECA. Nos acompaña Wenceslao Arroyo Machado, investigador postdoctoral en la Universidad Estatal de Arizona y COO de EC3 Metrics, una spin-off de la Universidad de Granada dedicada a los Estudios Cuantitativos de la Comunicación Científica. Su objetivo es comprender y mejorar los procesos de evaluación de la ciencia y las dinámicas de comportamiento de los investigadores.
El segundo episodio está dedicado a la opacidad del proceso de acreditación y a cómo esta falta de transparencia puede afectar gravemente a la carrera de quienes aspiran a la acreditación. Para abordar este tema, contamos con Javier Peralta Calvillo, investigador del programa Emergía en la Facultad de Física de la Universidad de Sevilla, quien nos relata su experiencia al llevar su caso contra la ANECA a la Audiencia Nacional.
En el tercer episodio, examinamos el proceso de evaluación desde la perspectiva de quienes evalúan. En esta ocasión, nos acompaña María José Contreras Alcalde, profesora de Psicología Básica en la UNED, quien ha participado en varias evaluaciones de sexenios en la ANECA.
Este triple episodio no pretende ser una conclusión definitiva, sino un primer intento de abordar un tema complejo y lleno de matices, crucial para la carrera de docencia e investigación en España.
In this special three-part series, we explore in depth the intricate world of accreditation in the Spanish academic system, focusing on the controversial ANECA. To do so, we count on the participation of two regular contributors to the programme: Celia Arroyo López, researcher in Evolutionary Biology and Biodiversity, and Alejandro Pedregal Villodres, Research Fellow at Aalto University.
In the first episode, we analyse the recent reform of ANECA. We are joined by Wenceslao Arroyo Machado, postdoctoral researcher at Arizona State University and COO of EC3 Metrics, a spin-off of the University of Granada dedicated to Quantitative Studies of Scientific Communication. His goal is to understand and improve the processes of science evaluation and the dynamics of researcher behaviour.
The second episode is devoted to the opacity of the accreditation process and how this lack of transparency can seriously affect the careers of those who aspire to accreditation. To address this issue, we have Javier Peralta Calvillo, researcher of the Emergía programme at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Seville, who tells us about his experience in taking his case against ANECA to the National Court.
In the third episode, we examine the evaluation process from the perspective of those who evaluate. On this occasion, we are joined by María José Contreras Alcalde, lecturer in Basic Psychology at the UNED, who has participated in several six-year assessments at ANECA.
