#YoSigoUGR con Daniel Torres-Salinas y Wenceslao Arroyo
Este es un episodio especial porque nuestra zona temporalmente autónoma vuelve a salir del estudio de Helsinki Open Waves, y esta vez viajamos a Granada. Grabamos desde el estudio de Medialab en la Universidad de Granada para hablar con los creadores de una iniciativa fascinante: #YoSigoUGR. Este proyecto nació en 2020 durante el confinamiento por COVID-19, con el fin de virtualizar los cursos del Plan de Promoción de la Investigación, dirigidos a investigadores consolidados y estudiantes de posgrado.
Los cursos de #YoSigoUGR cubren temas clave como publicación científica, evaluación de resultados, métodos docentes y organización del trabajo, siempre desde un enfoque práctico. Además, promueven la educación y la ciencia abiertas, grabando todas las sesiones en Google Meet y compartiéndolas en YouTube bajo licencias Creative Commons. La comunidad es participativa y global, con estudiantes y docentes que comparten conocimientos en una red Peer-to-Peer, abierta a universidades europeas, iberoamericanas y otras comunidades profesionales.
Nos acompañan Daniel Torres-Salinas, profesor del Departamento de Información y Comunicación en la UGR y creador de la iniciativa, y Wenceslao Arroyo Machado, investigador postdoctoral en la Universidad Estatal de Arizona y miembro activo de #YoSigoUGR. Con ellos hablamos de la plataforma, sus cursos, la revista Infonomy, y temas diversos como la inteligencia artificial en la academia, Bluesky, editoriales científicas, el acceso abierto diamante, y el tema más comentado en los últimos meses: el caso USAL.
This is a special episode because our temporary autonomous zone comes out of the Helsinki Open Waves studio again, and this time we travel to Granada. We record from the Medialab studio at the University of Granada to talk to the creators of a fascinating initiative: #YoSigoUGR. This project was born in 2020 during the confinement by COVID-19, with the aim of virtualizing the courses of the Research Promotion Plan, aimed at consolidated researchers and postgraduate students.
The #YoSigoUGR courses cover key topics such as scientific publication, evaluation of results, teaching methods and work organisation, always from a practical approach. In addition, they promote open education and science, recording all sessions on Google Meet and sharing them on YouTube under Creative Commons licenses. The community is participatory and global, with students and teachers sharing knowledge in a Peer-to-Peer network, open to European and Latin American universities and other professional communities.
We are joined by Daniel Torres-Salinas, professor at the Department of Information and Communication at the UGR and creator of the initiative, and Wenceslao Arroyo Machado, postdoctoral researcher at Arizona State University and active member of #YoSigoUGR. We talked to them about the platform, their courses, Infonomy magazine, and various topics such as artificial intelligence in academia, Bluesky, scientific publishing, open access diamond, and the most talked about topic in recent months: the USAL case.
